EVENTS:

+January 30, 2010: Join us in honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Junior in a day of service.  We will partner up with the Presidio for some native plant planting in the Presidio Hills site.  Meet at the Center at 9am.

+February 4, 2010: Come and congregate with past Outward Bound instructors, alumni, and friends for a social hour. We'll be meeting at Liberties Bar in the eclectic Mission District of San Francisco. This monthly event represents a great opportunity to share your Outward Bound stories and forge new connections and bonds with people in your extended Outward Bound community.  The format is absolutely casual; just look for the Outward Bound sign! 8:00 pm. Must be 21.

NEWS:

+On Janurary 6, 19 students from Oakland's ARISE High School ventured out on a 10 Day Backpacking Expedition in Henry Coe State Park! Way to go students, be OUTWARD BOUND.

+ Look for students on our Urban Expeditions... they will be carrying backpacks, wearing smiles, and exploring near and far in the Bay Area.  Next Urban embarks on January 22nd with Gateway High School.

+In September we worked with Global Citizen Year to run a team building program for their Training Institute.  Their amazing Fellows are now in Senegal and Guatemala putting those skills to use.  Check out this video of our program with them.

+Welcome Derek Rinadlo, our new Program Director, who started November 2.  Derek brings 10 years of Outward Bound experience and a zen-like attitude to our Center. We're glad to have him on our crew.
